Duration: 1700 months
I’m a Caulking Specialist with a decade-plus of hands-on experience sealing joints and gaps to keep structures watertight, insulated, and draft-free.
- Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, and prime joints on wood, drywall, tile, and metal—ensuring perfect adhesion and a smooth finish.
- Sealant Selection & Handling: Choose the right caulk type (silicone, acrylic, polyurethane) for each material and climate; load and manage caulking guns with precision.
- Precision Application: Apply bead patterns with steady, even pressure—working from corners to seams to create uniform, void-free seals.
- Tooling & Finishing: Tool edges with built-in or dipped finishers for crisp lines; wipe excess and clean surfaces for a professional look.
- Waterproofing & Insulation: Seal around windows, doors, plumbing penetrations, and trim to prevent leaks, drafts, and energy loss.
- Quality Inspection: Verify bead integrity, check for shrinkage or gaps, and perform touch-ups or replacements as needed.
- Safety & Compliance: Wear PPE, ventilate work areas, and follow manufacturer guidelines and building codes for indoor and outdoor applications.
- Maintenance & Repair: Re-caulk aging seals, remove failed material, and perform seasonal inspections to extend service life.
